EDUREFORM Inaugural events were organised by our 6 Indian partners to officially kick-off our endeavour: bringing critical, creative and analytical thinking skills into the Indian classrooms.
These events gathered academics, educators, researchers, artists and youth activitis to altogether celebrate EDUREFORM. The striking audience achieved during these inaugauration events gave our project the necessary impetus and encouragement to achieve our goals.

These events gathered academics, educators, researchers, artists and youth activities to celebrate EDUREFORM. The striking audience achieved during these inauguration events gave our project the necessary impetus and encouragement to achieve our goals.
To openly showcase their enthusiasm for teaming up with EDUREFORM, the School of Education orchestrated an inaugural event on September 24th. This event was meticulously crafted to heighten awareness regarding the EDUREFORM initiative and shed light on the potential adverse ramifications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in the educational realm. The event triumphantly drew in a gathering of more than 1000 attendees, facilitating dynamic dialogues that revolved around the nuances of Education 4.0. Through his enlightening expertise, Dr. Reddy prompted the audience to embark on a profound reconsideration of the educational framework. His insights aimed to aid Indian society in effectively tackling the multifaceted challenges presented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
'Is technology making us smarter?'- A Debate entitled,” Is technology making us smarter?” was organized in online mode by CXS Solutions India Limited, Kerala as an EDUREFORM Inaugural Event. In the Debate, two participants expressed their views on the topic that Technology is useful and makes us smarter and two participants expressed their views against the topic. The mediator of the debate summarized both views and concluded that Technology makes us smarter but should be used appropriately with proper training.
The talk discusses the rarity of blunders in AI and IoT, which are considered valuable learning opportunities. It emphasizes the collective challenge of AI and IoT for humanity, contrasting it with the epidemiological challenges of the pandemic. To address these challenges, the author suggests adopting a simple learning approach and making education accessible to all. Additionally, the content advocates for a natural approach, understanding human limitations, and integrating technology with a focus on humanity. The integration of AI into education is seen as an opportunity and a challenge, urging educators to adapt and create positive learning experiences.
Chitkara University, Punjab, hosted its EDUREFORM Inaugural event and Empowerment Camp, which marked the Inaugural of the AfterwardEDUREFORM project and the meeting of Indian Partners to discuss the objectives and goals of the project on 26th November 2021. Dr Sangeeta Pant, Dean, of Chitkara College of Education, wholeheartedly welcomed everyone and introduced the sessions’ key objectives, followed by the Presentation of the EDUREFORM project by the Innovation Managers. Later on, the lamp lighting ceremony was performed by Chief Guest Speaker, Mr. Syed Sultan Ahmed, Guest of Honor, Dr. Niyati Chitkara, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Archana Mantri. Mr. Syed Sultan Ahmed delivered an expert talk about "Educator the Changemaker" which provided great insights, followed by Dr. Niyati Chitkara 's session on "Educational Roller Coaster, Ride along for a skill enhancement experience", giving valuable lessons on how to make teaching and learning more effective.
Education reform is a permanent and essential aspect of progress. Change is the only constant, and thinking skills are crucial for teachers to impart knowledge effectively. In today's rapidly evolving world, teachers must upgrade their skills to match students' creativity and learning needs. The curriculum should be designed to nurture decision-making and problem-solving skills in students, focusing on student-centric methods and experiential learning. The talk emphasized the significance of creativity, analysis, and critical thinking in the field of education, both in this country and globally.
Dr. Niyati Chitkara introduces the concept of multi-perspective teaching. This approach involves integrating co-curricular activities into the academic curriculum, offering students a diverse range of perspectives. The speaker shares an example of involving musically inclined, coding, and hospitality students in the learning process, resulting in enthusiastic participation and creative contributions from students.
